2019 Lincoln Aviator Spotlight | Beckley, WV

2019 Lincoln Aviator Features

Lincoln has unveiled its all-new Aviator, a three-row plug-in hybrid SUV that serves as a teaser for a production version set to debut in 2019. Spoiler alert: It promises to be stylish, sophisticated, and smart.

The Aviator follows in the footsteps of the Nautilus and Navigator with a name derived from travel, drawing upon the aerodynamics of aeronautics and utilizing Lincoln's new design language to perfection. With flowing lines that give a sense of motion when standing still and the new Lincoln signature grille, the new Lincoln Aviator is simply stunning to look at. The concept of all things airborne carries over into the concept's sumptuous exterior color: Flight Blue.

On the inside, the Aviator amplifies comfort with intelligent, spacious design and cutting-edge technology. Thirty-way Perfect Position seats are offered in the front row for maximum relaxation, and Lincoln's new Phone as a Key technology will allow drivers to use their smartphone as a keyfob. The Aviator concept also displays a new Black Label theme that combines Shearling Beige and Lunar Gray

Even more impressive is the Aviator's powertrain, which makes the Aviator the first-ever plug-in hybrid Lincoln has offered. The concept's PHEV powertrain utilizes a twin-turbocharged engine, which means it won't want for power even while saving fuel and cutting down on emissions. Lincoln Drive Modes will provide a customizable experience behind the wheel, and the 12-inch cluster display synthesizes the connection between driver and the road.

In addition to Phone as a Key and Lincoln Drive Modes, the Lincoln Aviator shows off the latest in driver-assistive technology. With Lincoln Co-Pilot360, the Aviator offers intelligent tech like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Keeping System. The Aviator also demonstrates Lincoln's new Suspension Preview Technology, which helps combat potholes and rough road by adapting to road conditions on the fly.

The Lincoln Aviator concept shows that there are bright things in store for drivers in 2019. For more information on the production-version Aviator, or to learn more about Lincoln's latest new vehicles, stop by Mountaineer Lincoln.
